Werner Bekker is a full time musician with over eight years of experience in Songwriting, composition, performance and teaching music. Growing up with creative parents, Werner joined his father on the road at an early age - music was ingrained into his existence. He went on to study Music at the Campus of Performing Arts and has since written music for various artists, as well as for film. - Composition of two songs for the film "Salvation"
-Achieved a #2 spot on the Jacaranda FM Top 20 South African Cart with my single "Open Spoken"
-Achieved #1 spots on Algoa FM and RSG charts with my single "To Memory"
-I have opened the stage for huge internationally acclaimed acts such as Matthew Mole, Jeremy Loops and Norwegian Heavy weights A-ha.
- I have played at almost every music festival in South Africa including, Oppikoppi, Lush, Splashy Fen, Smoking Dragon, White mountain and more.
My Goals
My goal is to help people achieve their musical goals. I love embracing the fact that people need to enjoy something in order to excel in it. I find that if a student is not enjoying music lessons, they feel no need to practice or improve their skills. It is for this reason that I always use the student's taste, likes and dislikes to dictate how and what I teach them. After all, you know what you want, I am just a vessel to help you achieve your goals.
